LIBRARY SQUARE, SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH
Organ, eye, and tissue donation is about LIFE and those who have chosen to donate are giving the gift of life to another individual - a selfless act known as true heroism.
The Celebration of Life ceremony, put on by Intermountain Donor Services, honors those individuals who made that selfless sacrifice, and Nicho's parents did just that. They made the heartfelt, yet difficult decision, to donate his heart valves in hopes of saving another. Let's go honor Nicho, his family, and all the others who made that sacrifice.
The monument is located on the SE corner of Library Square, 300 East 500 South. The ceremony will take place from 9:30am to 10:30am and it will be well attended. Expect to be in the sun, for there are only a few trees; however, you are welcome to bring your own chairs during the ceremony.
After the ceremony, we will be releasing balloons - just a little something extra for Nicho. If you'd like to stay and release a balloon, please do. You can also write a little message on the balloon to whomever you'd like. As soon as we all have a balloon and are good to go, we'll gather together, say a little something and honor our sweet Nicho. And when the the time is right - we'll let them all go! Donations for the balloons are much appreciated but not required.
